Q: What is clinical nutrition?

A: Clinical nutrition is when you use diet as your therapy for illness. I recognize food as medicine and the power it has to restore the body. There are many things I can use in the nutrition world that are just as potent as pharmaceuticals but don’t have the same side effects.

And it’s more than just food. We use supplements and homeopathy to help give you your health back.

I’m not a doctor. I don’t give medical advice. But I can help balance your body chemistry to reestablish homeostasis.

Q: What is muscle response testing?

Muscle response testing is commonly referred to as applied kinesiology. When you’re being tested, you will lock your arm muscle, and I will push on it while introducing different stimuli (supplements, homeopathy, herbs, etc). Depending on whether the muscle stays locked or unlocked, we’re able to gather information about what the body is interested in talking about or wants.

Q: What is homeopathy?

Homeopathy is energy medicine. It’s based on the theory that “like cures like,” meaning a disease can be healed by a substance that produces similar symptoms in a healthy person. It’s a gentle nudge that tells your body to do something so you get better.

Q: Can you test kids?

Yes! This is a MUST for children. As the saying goes, if you want healthy adults, you need to raise healthy kids.

Depending on the age of your child, I may be able to test them on the table by themselves, or I may need a parent’s help to do it. Either way, we can get them what we need.

If mom is nursing, we’ll give them to mom to take.

Q: Can you test pets?

A: Yes! I'm willing to see most pets at the office but an arrange to come to your home if your animal is bigger, like a horse.

Q: Is this safe for pregnant or nursing moms?

A: Yes. It's actually very important for pregnant and nursing moms to be tested so they can get what they need to nourish their baby. There are some products on my shelf that are contraindicated for pregnancy and nursing, and I will be sure you do not receive those.

Q: How long does it take to see results?

It depends on the client, the issue, and the severity of the issue. It’s possible to notice a difference in your body within 30 seconds of taking your protocol. It may also take a couple weeks to notice a difference. However, if it’s been 6 weeks and you notice absolutely no improvement, this technique may not be right for you.

Q: How often should I come in?

A: You will schedule and prepay for your first 6 follow ups at your initial consultation. You will come in weekly for 3 visits and biweekly for 3 visits. After that, plan to come in monthly.

Q: Do you offer a membership?

A: Yes! The Vitality Membership is $99/month. This membership includes 1 visit per month and 15% off your supplements. You are eligible for the membership after completing your first 6 follow ups.

Q: Are there side effects?

A: Yes – improved health! Less brain fog, more energy, clearer skin, stronger immune systems, to name a few.

There is always a chance you could have a Herxheimer reaction when taking supplements, especially ones related to detoxification. You could experience symptoms similar to the ones you’re trying to fix – flu-like symptoms, fever, upset stomach, diarrhea, etc. A Herxheimer reaction doesn’t happen often, but it does happen from time to time, and it typically last a couple days. If you start to experience this, please let me know right away. Some clients choose to push through the reaction, and others back off their protocol a bit. Neither choice is better than the other.

Q: What supplement brands do you carry?

A: Everything I carry is practitioner grade, meaning you can't just go a retail store to get them. Supplement quality is important, and I carry the every best. The FDA doesn't regulate supplements, and this has resulted in most supplements from stores like Costco, Walgreens, Walmart, and CVS to carry products that contain added fillers, toxic ingredients, and they're often processed in a way that makes them unusable by the human body. Supplements purchased from places like these often do more harm than good.
